Editorial Policy

How we write, test and update our recipes.

By the Make a Pasta Kitchen ยท Updated October 5, 2026

This policy explains how the Make a Pasta Editorial Team develops, writes and updates the recipes and guides on makeapasta.com.

How We Build Recipes

Each recipe is built on established cooking techniques and checked for balanced ratios of pasta, sauce and seasoning. We give quantities in both US cups and grams, with clear prep and cook times.

Accuracy and Safety

We check temperatures, storage times and safety advice against official food safety guidance. Where cooks disagree on a method, we explain the options rather than presenting one view as the only answer.

Honesty

We do not claim personal experiences we have not had, and we do not invent reviews, quotes or test results. Nutrition figures are clearly labeled as estimates.

Updates and Corrections

We review recipes when readers report a problem or when we find a better method. If you spot an error, please tell us on our contact page. We correct mistakes promptly and update the date shown on the page.

Independence

Our editorial decisions are independent. We do not accept payment to feature a product or brand in our recipes. If we ever publish sponsored content, it will be clearly labeled.
